paula.dellaroza@educo.orgProject summary
The project strengthens youth leadership on climate resilience across communities in Bangladesh. Through training, youth-led assessments, adaptation projects and advocacy, adolescents and young people design and implement climate and environmental actions. Local clubs receive grants, technical support, and tools to identify vulnerabilities and pilot sustainable solutions. By mobilising communities, improving local governance dialogue and supporting youth-driven initiatives, the project helps build long-term resilience to climate change.
Why was the project developed?
Bangladeshis one of the countries most affected by climate change, with increasing vulnerabilities at community level. Adolescents and youth face limited opportunities to participate in climate decision-making. The project was created to equip them with the skills, resources and platforms needed to lead local adaptation, strengthen community resilience and influence policy processes.
