Project summary

PROSIPE aims to improve access to quality, protective and inclusive education for children affected by insecurity in Burkina Faso. It strengthens school resilience through Safe School approaches, alternative education (SSA/P), psychosocial support, child protection mechanisms and basic educational infrastructure in crisis‑affected regions.

Why was the project developed?

The humanitarian crisis and wide spread school closures triggered by insecurity have left thousands of children without education and exposed to violence. The project wasdeveloped to ensure safe learning environments, strengthen protection systems and support communities and schools to maintain access to education during prolonged crises.
