Project summary

The project strengthens the resilience of vulnerable communities in Mozambique's Tete and Manica provinces against climate change impacts. Key interventions include improving food security through climate-resilient agricultural practices, enhancing access to quality healthcare, and bolstering institutional emergency response capacities. The initiative seeks to mitigate climate change effects and promote sustainable development through integrated, community-focused approaches. Gender equity and inclusivity are emphasized, particularly involving youth and women in agricultural activities and community health initiatives.

Why was the project developed?

Mozambique is one of the poorest countries in the world and one of the most frequently and worst affected by natural disasters. Youth engagement in climate change issues is a priority.
